Increase yield with tighter composition control

Field-Proven Spectrometer Benches

Composition monitoring to improve yield

Compositional information in chemical and biotechnological production is essential for tightly controlling processes and optimizing yield, quality, and productivity. Raman spectroscopy enables simultaneous monitoring of multiple compounds across both low and high concentrations. In biotechnology, measurements can be performed without breaching sterile conditions, using viewports or dip probes integrated into the sterilized reactor.

To detect low concentrations, high spectrometer sensitivity is required to ensure strong signal-to-noise ratio and high dynamic range. Calibration must be stable and transferable between instruments, making unit-to-unit reproducibility, driven by manufacturing consistency, system stability, and accurate intensity and wavenumber calibration critical.

Raman measurements of biological and technical samples are often affected by strong fluorescent backgrounds, making advanced fluorescence suppression essential to isolate the Raman signal.
