The OEM inside design philosophy

Our OEM Products Are Our Core Products

Innovative products designed for easy integration

At Wasatch, every spectrometer is designed with an OEM mindset. Our core Raman products are OEM platforms adapted for research use, each built around a VPH grating optimized specifically for the instrument. For nearly 25 years, OEM customers have trusted Wasatch and our VPH gratings for Raman, OCT, hyperspectral and ultrafast laser applications

Largest Choice of OEM VPH Gratings

The industry's most diverse selection of VPH gratings

At Wasatch Photonics we understand the pride and careful consideration that goes into designing a product with a transmission grating at its heart. As such, we know that being able to design your instrument to exacting standards matters to you. It is why we offer you the ability to optimize the grating design parameters to match your wavelength, bandwidth, spatial resolution, diffraction efficiency, polarization and physical size. You get what you want, so your customers get what they need.

OEM Inside Design Philosophy

Raman spectrometers designed for system integration

We developed our ‘OEM by design’ philosophy after working with many OEMs to transition their research into application-specific products. In doing so, we saw a need to meet the core requirements of OEM manufacturers for robust, thermally stable optical sub-systems components that deliver repeatable results, unit-to-unit and over time. Offering OEM-grade products from the start speeds up your product development process.

At Wasatch Photonics, our OEMs can perform R&D and proof-of-concept testing with the same easy-to-use modular products and free ENLIGHTENTM software used by our research customers, confident in the knowledge that the superior performance they see and unique analytical methods they develop can be replicated in volume.

High Throughput, Excellent SNR Spectrometers

More signal, faster measurements, lower detection limits

Raman scattering is a weak signal. Wasatch Photonics achieves exceptional Raman sensitivity through system-level optical optimization. A Wasatch Photonics Raman system is designed, from the sample objective lens to the detector, for highest efficiency, generating and collecting as many photons as possible from the sample, and losing as few as possible on their way to being turned into an electronic signal.

High-Speed, Superior Clarity SD-OCT Engines

SD-OCT spectrometers for OEMs and system integrators

The best OCT images start with the right spectrometer, and we offer a comprehensive range of models with speeds up to 250 kHz to find your perfect fit. Choose the center wavelength and bandwidth for the depth and resolution you need, then select the camera, speed and connection that matches your application. Our proprietary low roll-off design delivers the best images possible.

With seven product families, covering the VIS, 800 nm and SWIR spectral ranges, we have an expansive range of pre-configured SD-OCT spectrometers inspired by our customers’ unique application needs.

Application Specific Front-End Optics and Sample Interfaces

Configurable accessories for your application needs

The key to any successful Raman measurement is the sample interface. Wasatch understands this, so in addition to off-the-shelf Raman probes, both integrated and external, we offer application-specific accessories for OEM integration. We also support our OEMs in designing optimized accessories. For our compact XS series spectrometer, we provide a standard set of accessories including a traditional vial sample holder, free-space illumination accessory, SERS substrate, lateral flow assay reader, and polystyrene calibration standard.

Bespoke Software and Application Specific Algorithm Assistance

Open-source software with transparency you can trust

We’ve created driver libraries for developers who want to integrate our spectrometers into their C/C++, Python, or C# applications, or for advanced users who wish to control our spectrometers from graphical environments like LabVIEW or MATLAB. We strive to make our systems intuitive and easy to use across popular software frameworks, with tools to simplify data collection and analysis.

Our software architecture also facilitates bespoke ‘plug-ins’ for application-specific post-processing. This approach simplifies data collection and processing, easing application development and speeding time to market for OEM customers.

A commitment to quality you can trust

At Wasatch Photonics, performance goes beyond the product – it’s built into our engineering partnership, quality systems, and commitment to your success.
